    Dr. Gil Gross has been a senior cardiologist in the Ruth Rappaport Children’s Hospital at Rambam Health Care Campus since 2017. His clinical and research expertise is in children's heart rhythm disorders and in related aspects of basic cardiac electrophysiology.

    Born in Montreal, Dr. Gross completed his MD at Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada) in 1984. After completing pediatric residency training in Ottawa, he undertook clinical and research fellowship training in pediatric cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

    Dr. Gross worked as a full-time staff cardiologist at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto from 1999 until he made Aliyah and joined Rambam. He has maintained his Toronto affiliation and holds an associate professorship in Paediatrics at the University of Toronto. The author of nearly 60 papers published in international peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Gross is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society. He is regularly called upon to provide expert peer review of manuscripts submitted to leading international journals, and has previously served on grant review panels at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and other granting agencies. He has received a number of teaching awards in Canada as well as in Israel.
