Dr. Blumenfeld is a graduate of the Hebrew University School of Dental Medicine in Jerusalem. He specialized at Sloan Kettering Memorial and New York University, and received his Doctor of Science degree from the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. His main research interest is in the influence of cytokines and growth factors on wound healing.
Dr. Blumenfeld is an active member of the scientific committee of the Israeli Dental Association, and an examiner on the Board of Prosthodontics. He was the president of the Israeli Temporomandibular Joint Society. Dr. Blumenfeld is a senior lecturer at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine.
