Department of Internal Medicine H

Dr. Braun is Director of Internal Medicine Department H at Rambam Health Care Campus and a Clinical Associate Professor at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He also serves as a consultant to the Infectious Diseases Unit at Rambam.
Dr. Braun is a graduate of the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Rambam.

Dr. Braun has received numerous awards for excellence in clinical practice and medical education from Rambam and the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. He serves as the Academic Director of The Clinical Clerkship Program in the Technion American Medical Students (TeAMS) Program, and is a member of the examination organizing committee of the Israel Board of Internal Medicine. Since 2009 he has served as the program director of the Interns Committee at Rambam.
Dr. Braun's main research interests are epidemiology of community acquired pneumonia, red blood cell distribution width as a prognostic factor in the field of infectious diseases, and epidemiology of nontuberculous mycobacteria. He is the author of some 30 articles in leading journals.
