sdf

Otology–Neurotology Fellowship at Rambam Health Care Campus

The Rambam Neurotology Fellowship is a two-year program providing advanced subspecialty education in the diagnosis and management of complex otologic and neurotologic disorders. One fellow is accepted every two years, so training is highly individualized and hands-on. The program covers the full range of ear and lateral skull base disease, from common otologic procedures to complex skull base pathology. We are now accepting applications for the fellowship beginning July 2027.

Our Mission

We aim to train fellows to care for otology and neurotology patients with expertise and compassion across a variety of clinical care systems, to commit to lifelong learning and teaching, and to develop the skills to become leaders in the field of otology and neurotology.

  • Learn the neurotologic manifestations of neurologic disease
  • Learn the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral audiovestibular disorders, lateral skull base lesions, CSF leak, and facial palsy
  • Perform the standard surgical approaches to the temporal bone and the lateral skull base, including mastoidectomies, cochlear implantation, translabyrinthine, retrosigmoid, middle fossa, and infratemporal fossa approaches, for acoustic neuroma and other schwannomas, meningioma, and paraganglioma resection and others

  •

Fellows meet regularly with the Program Director to review progress and the attainment of these goals and objectives.

Multidisciplinary Education

Fellows learn as part of a collaborative team, with regular teaching built into the weekly schedule:

  • Weekly Skull Base Conference: joint case review with neurosurgery, neuroradiology, and other specialists to plan management of complex lesions
  • Resident Otology Conference: structured teaching in which fellows help educate residents
  • Cochlear Implant Conference: multidisciplinary review of candidacy, outcomes, and complex cases
