The Department of Gynecology is a part of the Gynecology & Obstetrics Division at Rambam Health Care Campus. The Gynecology Department cares for a wide range of gynecological disorders, including diagnosis, pharmaceutical treatment and surgery, and supportive treatment. The department comprises inpatient and ambulatory sections, an emergency unit with an operating room equipped to carry out all gynecological procedures: laparoscopy and hysteroscopy operations, open surgery, and specialized procedures such as vaginal reconstruction and reconstruction of the pelvic floor. The department also performs specialized oncology surgery in collaboration with leading experts from overseas. The Gynecology Department also provides consultations in the areas of gynecology and gyneco-oncology to all hospital departments.
The department employs a unique model that includes an IVF Unit, endoscopic unit, Gyneco-urology unit, and a Gyneco-oncology unit, which provide personalized treatment via multi-disciplinary hospital teams.
