Dr. Yona Vaisbuch is an attending ear and skull base surgeon  in Rambam’s Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and the founding director of Biodesign Israel, the national healthtech innovation training program that uses the groundbreaking innovation process of Stanford Biodesign and which is based at Rambam Health Care Campus.

A graduate of the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University (2009), Dr. Vaisbuch specialized in otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose and throat medicine) at Rabin Medical Center and underwent advanced training for ear and skull base surgery at Stanford University in California.

Dr. Vaisbuch is a Stanford Biodesign Innovation graduate and serves as a mentor in the Stanford Biodesign Mobile Health program and the Stanford Spark program for drug development.He is the founder and former chairman of Mirsham, the Medical Resident Organization and a former member of the Taub Center’s Health Committee.

Dr. Vaisbuch also serves as a medical advisor for medical startups and is a founding partner in a few medical ventures. His main basic science research field is the inner ear as part of the goal of curing hearing loss.
