According to the Ministry of Health guidelines (2006), registration of clinical trials at http://clinicaltrials.gov/ is mandatory. Most high impact medical journals will not publish clinical trials results that have not been duly registered. The registry number has to be send to the Helsinki Committee following its approval of the specific research project. Lack of timely entering the specific project into the NIH registrar may prevent further publication of the study results. The registration procedure has to be performed by the principal investigator. Oz Yariv manages the registration process and coordinates the follow-up activities, assisted by Olga Bushelev.
