The Pediatric Urology Clinic cares for congenital urological abnormalities such as: hypospadias, reflux, kidney blockage, varicocele, hydrocele, undescended testicle, and more. The clinic performs all treatments for urology pathologies in children, preventive treatments, reconstructive surgery, as well as surgeries to repair congenital deformities. Deformities are first evaluated during pregnancy when they are identified in prenatal ultrasound. The clinic operates in close collaboration with the Imaging and Nuclear Medicine departments when sophisticated imaging techniques are required for diagnosis.
The clinic uses the most advanced technologies available in the field, such as deflux injections to correct reflux, laser surgery for posterior valve ablation, breaking up kidney, ureteral and bladder stones, and more.
The clinic participates in a number of pediatric urology studies, including a study on testicular infections in children before adolescence, and others.
