The Pediatric Endocrinology Unit cares for infants, children and adolescents suffering from hormonal diseases, growth disorders, puberty-related disorders, obesity. The unit operates a national clinic, exclusive to the Rambam Healthcare Campus, to treat girls and women with Turner Syndrome, and a clinic for metabolic bone diseases.
The unit team comprises physicians specializing in endocrine diseases, residents, clinical and research fellows and a nursing staff, all with special experience in treating children.
The unit conducts a wide range of research activities in its field, including: a study of infant growth during the first years of life, a study of young children's growth from age 2 on, and a study on hormonal treatments for Turner's Syndrome.
