The Vascular Surgery and Transplantation Department serves all patients requiring diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases, including chronic and severe cases, injuries, etc. The department also performs kidney transplants for patients with kidney failure, from donors after death and from living donors, in collaboration with the Department of Nephrology. The department to date has performed some 350 kidney transplants.

Furthermore, we perform carotid arterial surgery using advanced techniques, implanting the most advanced stents for aneurysms of the aorta, peripheral bypass surgery, surgery for blockage of the arteries of the kidney, surgery to install shunts for dialysis, and more.

To provide our patients with optimal treatment, the department team uses advanced technologies and techniques for diagnosis and treatment, including operations without angiography using non-invasive US, CTA and MRA instead; stents for aneurysms; and stents for blockage of the carotids in selected cases, and more.

In addition, the department team carries out a wide range of basic and clinical research, and development projects, including new procedures for the wellbeing of the patients.
