The Department of General Surgery B provides a full range of surgical procedures for medical disorders, including complex surgical oncology procedures incorporating radiation therapy, surgery of the pancreas and bile ducts, surgery of the liver, hernias and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Among others, the department specializes in treating patients with multiple traumas.
The department team includes senior physicians who, after completing their basic residency, acquired knowledge and experience in a specialized area of general surgery. Operations are carried out using the most advanced technologies in the field, while integrating knowledge and innovations from other fields as well.
The department team maintains a high level of academic activities in the Israeli and international scientific communities, including presenting lectures at professional meetings and to the general public. The department also trains students from the Technion Faculty of Medicine and other academic institutions.
