The Pulmonology Institute diagnoses and treats outpatient and hospitalized patients suffering from lung conditions. The institute has extensive experience in treating patients with secondary pulmonary disorders complicating systemic diseases, drug-induced pulmonary damage, and patients with compromised immune systems (bone marrow transplant recipients) with lung diseases.

The institute team uses advanced bronchology technologies to diagnose and treat pulmonary disorders, and specializes in invasive methods such as diagnostic bronchoscopy, pleural biopsies, and drainage of pleural fluid.

The institute maintains several clinics: the Clinic for Pulmonary Hypertension, the Clinic for Fibro-vascular Diseases, the Clinic for Oxygen and Respiratory Support, as well as an advanced laboratory for respiratory functioning.

The institute also conducts a wide range of research activities, including studies on pulmonary hypertension among end-stage renal disease patients, the connection between asthma and sleep apnea; a study examining the clinical and epidemiological aspects of Sarcoidosis in Northern Israel, and more.
