The Department of Internal Medicine D cares for patients of all ages with a wide range of medical disorders, placing special emphasis on diagnosing and treating critical conditions. Extra attention is paid to the elderly patients, many of whom have multi-organ, chronic diseases requiring special evaluation and direction for future management. The department is distinguished by its integration of advanced diagnostics and treatment, while focusing on the individual needs of the patients and delivering a holistic approach to treatment.
The department physicians and staff have extensive expertise and experience in a wide range of internal diseases, and provide consultation services in their fields to all of the hospital's departments.
In addition to inpatient care, the physicians in the department maintain a Clinic for Lipid Disorders, and are part of the Parenteral Nutrition Team and Institute of Preventive Medicine in the Rambam Healthcare Campus.
