The Department of Internal Medicine “C”, one of the five Internal Medicine Departments in Rambam Healthcare Campus, cares for a wide range of internal disorders including diseases of the heart, respiratory system, kidneys and gastrointestinal system, as well as infectious diseases.
The department team comprises physicians who are specialists and have also trained in sub-specialties, who apply their extensive and specialized experience when treating patients and training medical students. Among the department physicians are Dr. Karban, a specialist in gastroenterological diseases, Dr. Edelstein, a specialist in infectious diseases, Dr. Tzoran, specialist in hematology and Dr. Fruchter, specialist in pulmonological diseases.
In addition to its ongoing clinical duties, the department is active in a number of clinical research programs in its areas of specialty, particularly addressing clotting and gastroenterology.
The department facilities recently underwent extensive renovation, and the new inpatient facilities provide a modern, comfortable and pleasant healing environment.
