Professor Zimmer is the Director of Obstetrics at Rambam Medical Center and a Clinical Associate Professor at the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology.
He was a research fellow at Kings College in London, and a Visiting Associate Professor at Columbia University in New York.
Professor Zimmer has over 140 scientific publications in the fields of ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis of fetal anomalies, fetal physiology and behavior, and pain in obstetrics and gynecology. He is also an editor of two medical books - one on fetal ultrasound and the other on ethics in fetal therapy.
