  Professor Eli Sprecher is senior physician in the Department of Dermatology at Rambam Health Care Campus where he heads the Laboratory of Molecular Dermatology.
After emigrating from Belgium to Israel in 1981, he studied medicine at Hadassah Medical School and obtained his PhD in Molecular Virology at the Hebrew University.
He specialized in Dermatology at Rambam Medical Center followed by a fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, where he trained in molecular genetics.

Professor Sprecher laboratory is today recognized as one of the leading research groups in the field of genetic skin diseases worldwide.
He has published over 100 scientific articles and has recently edited a book covering the latest developments in inherited hair diseases.
He serves as Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the Rappaport Institute for Research at the Technion and as section editor for the British Journal of Dermatology.
He has received numerous awards in his field including the prestigious Everett C. Fox Award of the American Academy of Dermatology.
