Dr. Mark Shilkrut is a Senior Physician in the Unit of Radiation Oncology, Division of Oncology, and a Lecturer in the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Shilkrut is a graduate of the M.D.-Ph.D. Program at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. In his Ph.D. thesis Dr. Shilkrut investigated the role of the immune system in inducing heart rhythm abnormalities. He completed his residency in the Cancer Center at Rambam Healthcare Campus. Dr. Shilkrut specializes in urological cancers and brain tumors. His major research interests include biomarkers for chemo-radiation treatments, anti-integrin treatments for brain cancers and the role of MIBG in the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, European and American  Societies for Therapeutic and Radiation Oncology, and the author of 15 scientific articles, 4 book chapters and 1 patent.
