Dr. Edmond Sabo is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine (UMF) in Iasi Romania. He completed his postgraduate clinical residency in Anatomical Pathology at the Bnai-Zion Medical Center in Haifa. Dr. Sabo is ECFMG/USMLE certified.

In 1998 he was a visiting professor in the Department of Pathology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in NYC. In 2004 he was appointed as Assistant Professor at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine of the Brown University and also worked several years as a research associate in the molecular pathology core at the Rhode Island Hospital where he directed the Image and Data Analysis service for Quantitative Pathology.

He is author and co-author of 230 scientific articles (see Dr. Sabo CV), and has two chapters in technological textbooks. He has obtained several awards and NIH grants and is  co-inventor of an USA patent  (GPR30 Estrogen receptor in breast and ovarian cancers).

Dr Sabo was appointed Senior Lecturer at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine of the Technion in Haifa. He currently works as the head of the Gastrointestinal Pathology Service and the Hematopathology Unit in the Department of Pathology at the Rambam Health Care Campus.
His research subspecialty includes the analysis of textural and geometric microscopic patterns of normal, dysplastic and tumor tissues. For this purpose he uses Classical and Fractal geometric models and applies chaos theory, computerized morphometry, biostatistics and artificial intelligence.
