Dr. Shaoul graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Haifa (Cum Laude). He completed his residency at the Bnai Zion Medical Center, Haifa, and his pediatric gastroenterology fellowship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
Until recently, he served as the director of the Pediatric Day Care Unit at the Bnai Zion Medical Center.
Dr. Shaoul is a senior clinical lecturer at The Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Haifa.
He is a member of the following professional organizations:
• The American Gastroenterology Association (AGA).
• The European Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN).
• The European Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Group.
His main research interests are: Probiotics and Prebiotics, different aspects of inflammatory bowel disease in children, pediatric endoscopy and monitoring, nutritional aspects of the young age group and peptic ulcer disease in children. He has published more than 80 papers in professional scientific literature.
