Dr. Rachmiel is Deputy Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rambam Medical Center and Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Technion Faculty of Medicine.
His main interests are treatment of oral and maxillofacial deformities, distraction osteogenesis to the facial bones, and application of growth factors to improve osteogenesis. He has published over 60 papers and chapters in books and proceedings.
Dr. Rachmiel's received his PhD from the Technion Faculty of Medicine, with a thesis entitled: “Characterization of membranous bone regeneration following osteotomy and gradual distraction. Effect of TGF-ג on the osteogenesis process”.
His main research interests are in bone formation during distraction osteogenesis, and application of growth factors to improve osteogenesis
