Dr. Karkabi is a graduate of the School of Medicine and Pharmacology in Bucharest, Romania. He is a Senior Orthopedic Surgeon working in the Department Orthopedics "B" at Rambam Medical Center.

Dr. Karkabi was a fellow at the Birmingham Orthopaedic Hospital in Birmingham -
England, and at the Hip and Knee Center in Wrightington, England. In addition, Dr. Karkabi studied in other leading centers, including the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York. Dr. Karkabi is a specialist in knee and shoulder surgery, including arthroscopic surgery of the knees, the shoulders, the elbows and the ankles. He is the Director of the Shoulder Unit at the Rambam Medical Center.
