Dr. Samy Nitecki is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He completed his training in General Surgery at Rambam Medical Center in 1992, and was a Research Fellow in the Department of Physiology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, USA where he was also a Special Fellow in the Department of Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Nitecki finished his residency in Vascular Surgery in the Department of Vascular Surgery and Transplantation, Rambam Medical Center.

Since 2002, Doctor Nitecki has served as the Director of the Peripheral Vascular Surgery Unit and Vice Chair in the Department of Vascular Surgery and Transplantation. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Technion Faculty of Medicine, and was elected as "Distinguished Lecturer. He serves as a reviewer of prestigious journals and is the author of over 60 scientific articles.
His clinical and research interests include venous insufficiency (varicose veins) and non operative treatments, trauma of the aorta and great vessels, special aortic situations (inflammatory aneurysm, Behcet's, infected grafts), vascular endothelial growth factor, and thrombophilia.
