Dr. Meretyk is the Director of the Urology Department and an Associate Clinical Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Meretyk received his MD degree at the Hebrew University – Hadassah Medical School in Jerusalem. He is a graduate of the urology residency program at Hadassah Hospital; he completed an Endourology and ESWL fellowship at Barnes Hospital, Washington University Medical Center, St. Louis, Missouri, and a research fellowship at the National Center for Research and Treatment of Prostate Disorders at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
Dr. Meretyk is the author of over 60 scientific articles. His main research activities and interests include urolithiasis in adults and children, exploring different treatment approaches to the most complex stones along the entire urinary tract. He investigates what are the preferred treatment approaches to staghorn calculi, pediatric urethral stones, and small to large adult urethral stones.
