Dr. Zvi Horesh is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. He was trained in Orthopedics at Rambam Medical Center, and in joint replacement and general orthopedics at the Orthopedic Department in Lewsham General Hospital in London. He was also trained as a fellow at Kantonspital in Basel, Switzerland, in trauma and ligament reconstruction of the knee. Dr. Horesh also has extensive experience in surgical arthroscopy.

Since 1987 Dr. Horesh has been using the Ilizarov method for limb lengthening and deformity corrections after being trained in Lecco, Italy by Prof. R. Cataneo and Prof. M. Catagni, and at the Center for Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction with Prof. Paley. Between 1995-2002, he worked at the Rabin Medical Center as a deputy department head. Dr. Horesh is now director of the Center for Limb Lengthening at Rambam Medical Center, and the Deputy Head of Orthopedics "A".

Dr. Horesh is the Founder and President of the ASAMI Israel. His main clinical practice is limb lengthening, deformity corrections, bone infections, orthopedic trauma and complications (non-union, bone loss) and surgical arthroscopy.
