Dr. Hochberg completed his undergraduate medical studies in Basel, Switzerland, received his MD from Tel Aviv University, and a DSc from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is certified by the Israel Medical Association in Pediatrics, Endocrinology and Pediatric Endocrinology. Currently, he is the Director of Pediatric Endocrinology at Meyer Children’s Hospital at the Rambam Medical Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Endocrinology at the Technion and an Adjunct Professor at Gothenburg University.
Dr. Hochberg's research interests include mechanisms of child growth, growth hormone and its receptor, bone and calcium metabolism and the adipose tissue. Dr. Hochberg has an active interest in Pediatric Endocrinology education in developing countries, and he chairs the European program on that matter. During 2003-4 he served as President of the European Society for Paediatric Endocrinology (ESPE).
