Dr. Hanani is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute.
He trained in orthopedic surgery at Rambam Medical Center, and completed additional studies in spine surgery in Switzerland, England, France and the United States.

Dr. Hanani has served as Director of the Spine Unit at Rambam since 1988. Under his treatment and supervision thousands of spine surgeries have been performed, including operations for scoliosis, discectomies, spine fractures, malignancies, vertebra fixations, etc.
Dr. Hanani is a member of the Israeli Association of Orthopedic Surgeons and the Israeli Spine Society.
