Dr. Ilan Gruenwald graduated from Tel Aviv University's Sackler Faculty of Medicine, and performed a fellowship in urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction at St Georges Hospital, London, UK.
His main research interests are the neurophysiology and pathologies of the pelvic floor- mainly urinary incontinence and both male and female sexual dysfunction.
During the past five years, he has focused on treatment and research of pelvic floor diseases and is internationally accredited for his expertise in these fields.
Dr. Gruenwald has authored over 20 journal articles and three book chapters, is a member of many professional societies, and is a reviewer for the European Urology Journal.
He heads the Journal of Sexual Medicine Review section of the European Society of Sexual Medicine Newsletter. He is a member of the Continence Promotion and Education Committee of the ICS (International Continence Society) and a member of the WHO (World Health Organization) Committee on the Promotion of Awareness and Education of Urinary Incontinence.
