Professor Avishay Golz is a graduate of the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion– Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa. He obtained clinical training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
Following his residency he joined a team of two other Otolaryngologists to establish a new Ear, Nose, and Throat Unit in Rebecca Ziv Hospital in Safed. In 1987 he rejoined the Department of Otolaryngology at Rambam as Deputy Director. Since 2002 he has been the Director of the Department.
Professor Golz's main research and clinical interests are in the fields of otitis media and middle ear effusion in children, sudden neuro-sensorial hearing loss and noise induced hearing and balance damages.
Professor Golz has received an Honors Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology-HNS for his contributions to this Society.
