Dr. Yuval Gelfand is a graduate of the Hadassah Medical School of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Thereafter, he trained in Ophthalmology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr. Gelfand served as Head of a Unit at the St. John's Eye Hospital in Johannesburg. He has an FCS (Fellow of the South African College of Surgeons) and a FRCS (Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Scotland). His main interest is retinal surgery.
