Dr. Simon Daniel Duek is a general surgeon who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He obtained clinical training in surgery at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa and completed a Fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of Newark in New Jersey.
Dr. Duek's main research and clinical interests are in the field of rectal tumors and rectal cancer, focusing on advanced diagnostic technologies such as transrectal ultrasound, and minimal invasive techniques for surgery, such as Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery.
Dr. Duek is an elected member of the Scientific Committee of The Israel Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. In addition, he is an Assistant Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion– Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.
