Dr. Avizohar is an internist and cardiologist, and a senior physician at the Rambam Center for Preventive Medicine.He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology (Cum Laude).
He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Rambam Medical Center, and his residency in Cardiology at Soraski Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
He studied at the School of Continuing Medical Education, Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv. He also studied advanced management of health systems at the University of Haifa, Extension Studies Division, and has a GCP certificate from the University of Haifa.

Dr. Avizohar is a member of the Israeli Heart Association and the European Society of Cardiology. He is also a member of the Committee for Quality Control of Clinical research at Rambam Healthcare Campus.
Dr. Avizohar's main interests are in preventive cardiology, ischemic heart disease, and atherosclerosis: dyslipidemia, hypertension, diabetes mellitus and obesity.
