Dr. Irit Avivi graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. She completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology at the Rambam Medical Center, followed by two years of post-fellowship training at the University College London Hospitals (UCLH) in London, UK. Currently, Dr. Avivi is a Senior Attending Hematologist at the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation of the Rambam Medical Center, responsible for Lymphoma Services, and a Senior Lecturer in Hematology at the Technion. Her research interests focus on management of lymphoma and myeloma, including immunology of allogeneic stem cell transplantation.

Dr. Avivi actively participates in a wide range of national and international research projects and initiatives. She is an active member of a Lymphoma Working Party of the European Group for Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Dr. Avivi is an author of about 40 peer-reviewed articles, reviews and book chapters and a permanent reviewer for the most prestigious journals in the field.
