During the month of June, Rambam's Immunology, Allergy and AIDS Institute held two courses to enrich the knowledge of AIDS in physicians and healthcare personnel from various countries in Africa and India. These courses have been held for four years, one-two courses yearly, in cooperation with Galilee College and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which helps to make contact with the physicians and healthcare personnel. In this year's course, three physicians, heads of departments in Angola, participated along with 10 people involved in AIDS at the level of public health and education. The purpose of the course is to expose the participants to the work methods of AIDS clinics and interaction with patients. The AIDS clinic at Rambam is a unique model of involving workers who come from the same countries as the patients in explaining and teaching activities. A long-term bond is forged between our hospital and the people who take part in our courses because of the positive and exciting feedback
