Six months after the war, the rich experience of Rambam in rehabilitating orthopedic patients continues to help severely wounded soldiers to stand on their legs. Captain [Reserves] Dubie Ganish [right], and Lt. Asa-el Lubetzky were transferred to Rambam when they were seriously wounded during the Second Lebanon War

After treatment in the Orthopedic Intensive Care Unit, they were transferred to the center of the country for further rehabilitation. Recently, the two officers returned to Rambam, to the faithful hands of Dr. Alexander Lerner, Senior Orthopedist in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery A, and the country's leading experts in the Ilizarov method. "These two are determined to stand on their feet", said Dr. Lerner when he saw the two soldiers grit their teeth from the slow walking exercises. "With such motivation, their healing will be quicker".
