The results of a joint project of our Departments of Nuclear Medicine and Cardiology were published last week in the prestigious Journal of the American College of Cardiology

An accompanying editorial, written by the president of the European Cardiology Society, praised the research as a milestone in the search for non-invasive catheterization The research described the use of a prototype hybrid imaging device [made by GE Healthcare] which proved for the first time that it was possible to perform non-invasive catheterization more safely and accurately
At a gathering of the personnel involved in the project, Prof. Rafael Beyar, Director of Rambam Health Care Campus, commended the work performed by researchers from the Departments of Nuclear Medicine, Cardiology, and Radiology.
Prof. Ora Israel, Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, senior investigator on this project, called upon the researchers and physicians to continue writing about their research works. "The researchers worked for a long period of time on this project, until the early hours of the morning, and their work paid off", she said
