It is my distinguished honor to serve as the CEO & Director General of the RHCC.  We are all beckoned together by the formidable challenge to continue the momentum of development and improvement of this outstanding institution for clinical medicine and medical sciences.

The RHCC has established itself as the leading medical center for Northern Israel, providing superb medical care in all disciplines and offering the best of treatment for a wide variety of patients throughout the country. As an integral part of its mission, the RHCC is committed to educate the future physicians and allied health professionals, and to provide an inspiring home for research and development of innovative ideas for the better understanding of diseases and improved patient care.

RHCC has some unique features, which are not shared by many other centers in Israel and the rest of the world. Apart from being a tertiary referral center with outstanding specialty teams, it is recognized for its primary and community care activities, educational programs and basic and applied research, with a focus on life sciences and biomedical engineering. The mission of biomedical research is carried out side by side with the Technion, a premiere Scientific-Technological University whose Faculty of Medicine is located adjacent to Rambam. As former Dean of this world-renowned Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, one of my objectives is to further integrate and translate biomedical research and education for the benefit of excellence in patient care. One can find many instances, in which Rambam physicians have inspired scientists and engineers to come up with new technologies and new therapies for improved medical care. Medicine has been flourishing at an ever faster rate over recent decades and innovations are expected to continue to increase at a faster pace in the coming years.

The "Vision of Adam" will propel us into the future, helping to realize our goal of better serving all of humankind. It envisions the creation of “smart” infrastructures that will enable us to retain a warm human touch while offering an exceptional level of service, with an emphasis on preserving health and preventing disease.

Our vision foresees the creation of an uniquely fertile and challenging working environment which will encourage outstanding personnel from all medical disciplines to reside and work under the Rambam umbrella.

As home to Jews, Christians and Muslims -- religious and secular -- Haifa serves as an unique example of tolerance and peaceful co-existence for all of Israel and the Middle East. The RHCC reflects the warm relationships of its home community and seeks to serve as a bridge for understanding among all peoples.
