Rambam Health Care Campus is undergoing the largest expansion of any hospital
in Israel. The new facilities, on 14.8 acres of land on the western campus, will
house innovative medical treatment centers, as well as advanced teaching and
leading research sites. Five buildings are currently under construction.

(1)The Sammy Ofer Fortified Underground Emergency Hospital will be a 1,500-vehicle, three-level underground parking lot which can be transformed into a 2,000-bed fortified underground emergency hospital within 72 hours, in response to the exigencies of warfare.

(2)The Nine-story Ruth Rappaport Children's Hospital will encompass seven inpatient departments and more than 20 professional units. In addition, large public areas, a cinema, family rooms, and classrooms will provide children and their families with a friendly and supportive environment conducive to recovery.

(3)The Biomedical Discovery Tower will be one of the most advanced medical research institutes in the world, offering vastly expanding opportunities for medical research leading to invention, with research laboratories as well as innovative startup companies in different phases of development.

(4)The Cardiovascular Hospital will have departments in cardiac and vascular surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, advanced cardiovascular imaging, and cardiac intensive care, offering patients more options than anywhere else in the region, all at one site. The integrated model for cardiovascular care will include research laboratories and cardiovascular disease risk reduction programs.

(5)The Joseph Fishman Oncology Center will offer a unique blend of medical knowledge, professionalism, and compassion to ensure the best medical care for our patients. Rambam Health Care Campus believes in an aggressive approach toward cancer. The Joseph Fishman Oncology Center will provide chemotherapy, radiotherapy and brachytherapy treatment centers equipped with linear accelerators. Complementary and alternative medical treatments will also be an option. Research will be conducted on all frontiers of oncology. Cancer prevention outreach programs will be offered to provide resources and information on the prevention and detection of cancer.
